On Tuesday, June 27, members of the Madison community are invited to a meeting at Fifty Forward Madison Station, 301 Madison Street, to learn about the forthcoming design of the extension of Neely’s Bend Road, named Station Boulevard. The meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. The meeting will review initial feedback received at previous meetings and present design concepts for the roadway.

Thoughts and comments from local residents are important to the design phase of the project.

“We look forward to sharing ideas for Station Blvd with Madison residents,” said District 8 Councilmember Nancy VanReece who has worked diligently on this Metro investment, fully funded in the 16/17 Spending Plan from Mayor Barry. “We are very excited about the possibilities a Complete Street project brings to the community.”

This ‘complete street’ project will look at bike lanes, walkability, lighting, landscaping, and other considerations. This second public meeting will allow members of the community to review concepts developed prior to implementation. DBS & Associates Engineering is the prime engineer on this Metro Public Works project.

For those unable to attend the June 27 meeting, comments may be submitted to J. Andrew Smith, P.E., Nashville Public Works, at j.andrew.smith@nashville.gov.
